My name is Maudi Bernadina
I am raised in both the Netherlands as in Curaçao. I always have the urge to give my Curaçaoan roots a special place in my life.
Coming out from a period of total silence and non-movement in my life I started plotting my future and my artist-light was lit.
By establishing MGB Creations in 2016 my creativity got the chance to run wild just ‘manera mi kurason a bisami’ (how my heart told me). My dream to become an artist came true.
Through my art I’m connecting with myself and with my dushi island Curaçao, but most of all I strive to make a satisfying connection with the world. With my paintings and creations I want to send light and love into the world, making people aware that we live on a beautiful planet we need to take care of.
I get my inspiration mostly from the Caribbean, I love the tropical environment: the crystal clear blue sea, the raw volcanic stones, the intense sun, historical architecture with all those bright colors are only some to mention. I transform them into beautiful colorful 3D- paintings adding different materials like wood and/or paste to leave a deep impression.
